Freya is a landscape design professional (BLArch, UWA) based in Perth, Western Australia with over 23 years of experience. Key focus areas are landscape architecture and consultancy in residential and commercial projects, green interior design and installation as well as offering horticultural services with a focus on local environmental opportunities and constraints.
Freya has worked for local and international practices based in London, Glasgow, Sydney and Perth. She has local and global project experience including residential landscape design, award-winning master planning projects, public domain, streetscape and park design, education, resorts and large commercial developments.
Over the last decade, Freya has grown FreyainFlora to service a steady roster of residential and commercial clients. Recent project highlights include Lawson Flats green interiors in Perth City (Fini Group), Prendiville Group HQ green interiors in Fremantle (Prendiville Group), Wildflower Terrace in the State Buildings, Perth (in collaboration with Aneura Gardens) as well as landscape design and installation for high-end residences for sale and marketing periods working with architects and stylists. Some of these clients have retained Freya for ongoing horticultural and maintenance services.
Freya in Flora also offers clients design + consultation services, from hand-drawn concept plans and sketch plans to computer-rendered plans suitable for Council submissions.
Freya in Flora champions the use of local endemic flora and non-native, hardy Mediterranean flora in the garden which are best suited to WA’s sandy, depleted soils with the intention of future-proofing garden design due to increasing issues of climate change and water scarcity.
